VIRGIN GORDA
The beautiful Virgin Gorda is located only 8 miles east of Tortola.

Virgin Gorda or fat virgin received its name from Christopher Colombus. He envisioned the island as a pregnant woman in a languid recline with gorda peak being her big belly and the boulders of the Baths her toes.
Swimming and snorkeling is a must in Virgin Gorda, the best location are often reachable only by boat but plenty of places to swim are available all around.
The most popular is the Baths which is located on the southwest side. It is a stunning maze of huge granite boulders that extend into the sea.Leave the boat on a mooring, dinghy ashore, and snorkel among boulders that are the size of buildings.

The Baths
Beautiful sand beaches surround the Baths and will take you to a wonderful obscure yet beautiful Caves of the island. This will take you to paradise - the caves are quite a unique experience.

The Caves
On the western side of the island is “the valley” where Spanish Town is located. Spanish Town is Virgin Gorda's peaceful main settlement. It is a very tiny and charming town.
