St Martin Yacht Charters

St Martin, one of the top destinations for yacht charters in the Caribbean, is a unique island in that it is peacefully shared by two different countries, France and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Caribbean island is known for its nightlife and casinos on the Dutch side – both sprinkled liberally with the locally-made rum-based guava-berry liquors. On the French side, you will enjoy restaurants featuring native French and Indian Caribbean cuisine and plenty of opportunities for shopping, including outdoor markets.
While both the Dutch and French sides of St. Martin tout a total of thirty six stunning beaches, each one is different. Yacht charter guests have their choice of locations from the secluded to the popular. Generally speaking, the winward side of the island, which touches the Atlantic Ocean, experiences rougher waters and a stiffer breeze. Conversely, the leeward side, which faces the Caribbean Sea, is calmer. The beaches on the entire island are clean with pure white sand. The water is pristine and a turquoise blue in color. Some of the areas are more active when the sun goes down, some are family-oriented, and some beaches are isolated and romantic. Clothing optional beaches are more common on the French side of the island, especially in Orient Bay. This cove is protected from the rougher waters of the Atlantic by a coral reef and the gradual slope of the ocean floor makes for excellent swimming. The beach in front of Club Orient (or Club O) is the only area that is officially a nudist beach; however, on the French side of the island, you may encounter it on almost any beach. The Dutch side is more restrictive, except perhaps for Cupecoy beach.
St. Martin is not defined by its beaches alone. Island activities include horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and numerous water sports, such as jet skiing, surfing, parasailing, windsurfing, water skiing, kitesurfing, and more. The Caribbean is perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. The Loterie Farm with its tree top tour, the Butterfly Farm, and the zoo are all great activities to get the kids involved. Golfing, tennis, and deep sea fishing are some of the many sports that tourists and natives both enjoy.
Yacht charters to St. Martin include the beautiful surroundings and Caribbean vibe as well as the delicious cuisine and nightlife of this unique island.
