Yacht charters in St. Barts

St Barts is the most popular island for yacht charters in the Caribbean for the rich and famous. St Barts is a prime spot for all yachts, but it is especially known for mega yachts, which are well accommodated in Gustavia Harbor.

While warm sand and blue waters do make St. Barts an ideal location for yacht charters, this destination has that and a whole lot more. Originally, St. Barts was a peaceful island where “night life” meant sipping champagne and quiet beach walks. However, as more tourists began to take in the beauty of the island, the live music and contemporary clubs took off, making it the sensational hot spot for luxury yacht charters that it is today.

The rich and famous dock their yachts at the island, where the glitzy night scene and the glamorous days are the envy of the entire Caribbean. Celebrities aren’t just on the cover of a magazine. They’re on the yacht next to yours.

Gustavia Harbor, St Barts

The Island features a rolling landscape with picturesque villages. The island is surrounded by coral reefs and crystal clear waters. All this, plus her great harbour, helps make St. Barts a favorite retreat for luxury yachts and the rich and famous.

St Barts has many hotspots popular with yacht charter guests. A simple building with a nautical theme hides the famous Le Select, which has been referred to as a “glorified shanty.” Yet this hot spot is the place to be. The open-air garden is named “Cheeseburgers in Paradise” in honor of Jimmy Buffett, who often visits St. Barts and even has a house there. Many musical celebrities, such as Mick Jagger, have been spotted at Le Select and live entertainment, while rarely scheduled, is worth the wait

On Shell Beach you will find Do Brazil, which is owned by former French tennis player and singer, Yannick Noah. The delectable cuisine can be enjoyed on the beach after a dip in the water or watching the sunset. The pub and café serves French-Tai as well as French Brazilian dishes, including amazing meals like duck breast with pineapple, Szechwan pepper, and local pumpkin purée or Mahi-Mahi Moqueca, which is a Brazilian specialty that contains coconut milk, peppers, onions, garlic and coriander.

“The Sexiest Place on Earth,” as Nikki Beach has been called, is the ultimate beach club on St Barts. Consisting of modern décor, hip music, and gorgeous staffers, Nikki Beach is a perfect blend of fashion, dining, music, and entertainment. Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Sean Combs, Ivanka Trump, or Mariah Carey can be seen enjoying champagne and mingling with guests. However, this is no pretentious dinner club; it is more like a Hollywood frat party.

Other must-see destinations on St Barts include the seductive Bar’Tô Lounge, where you can dance to the top hits and enjoy dinner and dessert from Bartolomeo, which is next door. Bar de l’Oubli is a hip location that opens at 7 AM to offer breakfast to patrons recovering from the previous night. It then stays open late to accommodate guests. On the harbor in Gustavia, you can find Baz Bar with its mellow mix of soul, jazz, and cocktails. Le Ti St. Barth is unassuming in a pitched-roof cottage at Pointe Milou, but inside you can be part of the legendary parties which occur nightly. Also, be sure to visit the Yacht Club, with its flowing white drapes and exceptional views of the harbor.
